The Wainwrights are a mountain range in the Lake District National Park in the northwest of England. The range includes all of the Lake District's summits over 3,000 feet (914 m) above sea level, and since the publication of Alfred Wainwright's Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells in 1955, the name Wainwright has become synonymous with these fells. The Lake District is England's largest National Park, and the Wainwrights make up a large part of the Park's total area.
